Platform
The Putnami platform runs your workspace in production. You install one CLI
extension, and every project that declares how it runs becomes deployable —
services, databases, storage, registries, and observability, driven from the
same putnami commands you already use.
The platform is delivered as the @putnami/cloud extension. It adds cloud
commands to the CLI and wires your workspace to a Putnami Cloud control plane.
Nothing here replaces the framework: you still build with
the frameworks; the platform takes what you built and runs
it.
Choose a path
Start with the outcome you need. The first-deploy path is sequential; the other paths assume the workspace is already linked.
| You want to… | Follow this path |
|---|---|
| Put a service online for the first time | Install → log in → set up → check the contracts → first deploy |
| Understand what each file controls | Workspace contracts |
| Check or debug a running environment | Cloud status → observability → config |
| Automate verification and delivery | Hosted CI → environments follow channels |
| Run Putnami in an agent session or another CI service | Agent and CI environments |
| Run subscription reviews | Intelligence and reviews |
| Validate from Claude or Codex | Connect Claude or Codex |
| Find a command or flag | CLI reference |
First deployment
Complete these steps in order. Each step leaves one result you can verify before moving on.
| Step | Result | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Install | putnami cloud is available in the workspace |
Install the cloud extension |
| 2. Log in | putnami cloud whoami names your active identity |
Log in |
| 3. Set up | The repository is linked to one Cloud workspace | Set up the workspace |
| 4. Check intent | Runtime, requirements, config, and CI declarations have distinct ownership | Workspace contracts |
| 5. Deploy | The selected workload reaches a serving revision | Your first deploy |
| 6. Observe | Status and recent signals identify what is serving | Observability |

Prerequisites
- The
putnamiCLI and a workspace. If you do not have them yet, start with Getting started. - A project you can build with
putnami build.
Start
New workspace: install the cloud extension.
Already deployed: read workspace contracts, then choose the operating path above.
