Source

Source links a workspace to one GitHub repository. Connect, inspect, or disconnect the repository with putnami cloud source. The status command checks the connection, the GitHub App installation, and its permissions. See the CLI reference for the flags.

Search your code

The workspace search page (/w/<workspace>/search) has a Code group. It lists the declarations (functions, types and similar names) that match your query in the repository bound to the workspace. Each hit shows its name, its kind and path:line, and opens the file on GitHub at the commit that was indexed.

Source indexes only repositories for which a platform admin has turned on the declaration index. Source then indexes the newest default-branch commit that holds putnami.workspace.json. Until that first index exists, the group says so in one line. It also says so when no repository is connected or the index is off. A repository that takes more than 45 seconds to build is not indexed.

Only workspace members with the source.code.read permission can search code. The viewer role does not have it. For a viewer, the search page shows no Code group.
